Can't be bothered reading all the crap that's been written.

However disappointed I personally am at the start we've made - after such optimism after pre season and Hillsborough - it's hardly got to the point where a protest is being considered.

    Jesus christ.

    No they dont mate.

They think that after having 3 seasons in the job and having signed 50+ players during that time, this manager would be able to at least get the players he signed to perform to a decent standard.
Barnsley fans dont want the world , just a decent solid team, one that sits easily mid-table, with the ocassional mad rush towards the top. We will even take a slip down the league if it looks like we will be able to get back up , at the moment we look like none of the above.
I disagree with the protests , but I can see why they feel like doing it.

The problem is (and the reason for a protest)

That fans are told they can't vent their frustration in the stadium. Anyone booing or being seen as being negative towards the manager is criticised. They cant vent their frustrations on the internet because people that want davey in criticise them for doing so and seemingly those in charge of the club do not hold users of the internet in very high regard because they do not toe the company line. They cant vent on the radio because they get criticised for that.

What is left? Bury their head in the sand and just hope that davey will find some magic cure? They've paid nearly £300 for a season ticket so should they just sit going through the motions every week? They have been pushed and pushed until they can't take it any more and what we are seeing now is fans backed into a corner and coming out fighting. Fighting for their club.

Whether you agree with a protest or not you have to be able to understand why they are planning one. They are scared, scared that Patrick Cryne refusing to sack davey is going to destroy the club and lets be honest here, its already tearing the fans apart.

So because people disagree with you on here...

...you think the only way to get your point across is to hold a mass demonstration?

Using that logic when you're positive about Davey and you're accused of 'sucking the Welsh w*nkers ****' or being a 'Davey lover' then you should also hold a demo saying how happy you are.

What do you mean by 'seemingly those in charge of the club do not hold users of the internet in very high regard because they do not toe the company line'? I doubt they hold anyones opinion on here in high regard - if they did they'd be idiots.

A demo is a f.cking stupid idea. Davey isn't destroying the club, he's not meeting the expectations of some fans, probably most. But he's not got us relegated like the same fans have predicted year after year and I seriously doubt he will now. To say we're 'dead certs' after 4 games is just silly.

Does that mean the critics of Davey can't cope with being criticised themselves?

    What a bunch of comedians.

Its not just that is it though

Come on. On Saturday you look around and listen either in the pub or at the ground and its pretty much split. Where i sit in the ground id say its 70/30 to get shut of him but then again im sure elsewhere its 70/30 to keep him.

Lifelong fans or newcomers, people are split on him and to be honest if the results and performances carry on theres only one size of the argument thats going to gain momentum.

Saturday inmo will be his last game, and for me rightly so.

This must be the first time ever Barnsley fans have had different opinions on the manager

I remember someone having a banner/poster having a go at Norman Hunter, Mel Machin being booed as he made his way to the dug out. It happens, but the advent of the internet seems to have pumped a few up into thinking they are the voice of all fans - they aren't. It also gives instant and public voice to the more extreme and the more bonkers. Fans aren't 'torn apart' (what a self indulgent and hyper-exaggerated statement) any more now than they ever have been. Hysterical in the extreme to suggest otherwise.

Davey will get sacked next week if we lose to Reading tonight and Saturday imho. Some seem to think that Cryne operates in a vacuum - he sees the emptying seats, he sees the performances, but he also works with Davey on a daily basis so if we trust him to run the club we trust him to make the important calls.

It gets back to operating in a vacuum Dave - even if he's not present I'm sure he's aware of events.

And the 2nd point - pretty close I would suggest.

RE: This must be the first time ever Barnsley fans have had different opinions on the manager

Thing is if they want to protest let them, surely if no one turns up then it shows the club that its a very tiny percentage of support who wants him out on the other hand if a large number show up then it goes the other way.

I do think the support is split but like you said just as it has been before with other managers but at this moment in time we are **** and going nowhere.

Personally i want him out, his tactics are the same now as they were day one and his inability to change a game once it has started is staggering. Saturday come 4.45 if we have lost then is the time for the fans to do there protest not on a tuesday afternoon.
