    I still use AVG and am perfectly happy with it

    Been using AVG for two years now no problem, but just lately

    i had to download it a couple of times again and its still not working right, the update manager keeps getting an error its annoying the hell out of me.

    Might try the one S.M has just put up

    Kaspersky, fantastic. Used it for 4 years now with no problem. New one has 3 licence so can be installed on 3 different pc's. It's also quite cheap and easy to get hold of.

    Installing AVG is like having a formula one car and putting treacle in the tank

    Well that's my experience. Clogs everything up and slows everything down. If you have a super dooper new fast PC you probably won't notice the difference, but on an older PC the simplest task takes ages as the disk whirrs and chugs in the background.

    Avast is (in my opinion) better for older machines.
