Val talking to WBA and Stendel talked to Huddy? Is it just the compo? Did we have a release clause for Stendel?

Someone's asked me and I didn't really have a reasonable answer.

I'm guessing its all about the 2 million.

Supposedly it was without the clubs permission and that's the difference.

I thought as much. Just wondered if there isn't a 'buy out' surely DS didn't do owt 'wrong'.

I wouldn't do anything wrong appling for another job whilst employed.

I really couldn't answer the blowk who asked me.

WBA asked BFC for permission to speak to Val and we allowed them. Not sure if Huddersfield asked for permission.

Apparently it's not done in football circles but our owners just so happened to keep conversing with Struber allowing him to step into the breach.

My personal feeling is they sacked him, then (if he did, though I still very much question it) they found out someone was interested, therefore realising they had not only cost themselves significant compensation to Stendel, but also the missed revenue of compensation from another club.

I question whether they had any significant compensation clauses of merit at that point, I suspect once they saw someone pay it for Struber, they were content getting significant money for coaches too.

Just depends what’s in your contract as regards talking to other employees I expect .
Certain contracts are subject to more rigid rules and regs eg Government officials taking conflicting jobs . Bankers with inside knowledge . Football managers , Players ,CEO etc would have similar clauses but probably less serious consequences more of a financial penalty .

Football manager contracts are normally fixed length which means that while under contract they can’t take another job without buying out the contract. I’d there no ‘buy out’ that just means the figure has to be negotiated.

Conway threw his Teddy bear out of the cot...along with the bathwater and the baby....
I don't know how much truth was in it at the time but from what I could gather from different sources and yes they've been wrong in the past re transfers
....Conway was aware of what was going on and his permission not the rest of the board might I add was given to sound them ...Huddersfield... out....Conway then went back on his word...to 'DS and denied it all...when the rest of the board found out...due to a certain someone who went and did a Davey....brown nosing and .let his imagination and his green eye monster loose and therefore..... blowing everything out of proportion...from that the balloon then went up......hence the 21 worded statement from conway .......
The one person on here who could clear all this up is Dale tonges brotherinlaw
I do believe....he posts on here ....he would know what took place due to it affecting Dale......

Interesting, if that IS the case, then 2 of the 3 people involved are C U Next Tuesdays and one of them isn't DS.
