Not been able to get to the last three games and Mr Devaney was 'red-hot' up until then, so has he gone off the boil? I know he picked up a knock v Hartlepool and has been ill... has that caused a dip in form?

Just noticed he hasn't got a single man of the match vote for Chezzie that's all.

    Ta.

Just a loss of form, lets hope he can find it again very soon.

I think it's a product of his display against Bradford away-both in league and cup-opposition teams now double mark him and he's finding it difficult-it should make space for someone else though?

    Correct.

It made plenty of space for Nicky Wroe - who utilised it by falling over a bit, passing the ball to their players, passing the ball into touch or basically just standing there getting in the way.

    AFC fodder.

for offside, have to admit, I cant remember if it was Hudds or Hartlepool (?) He did ok I thought, can definately cross a ball, lets hope Wright can do what Richards hasnt so far and get on the end of them.

    you forgot..........

his unerring ability to head the ball vertically upwards-first couple of times I thought he'd mis-timed his jump - but after the fifth one I decided it was his "signature move" !

My mate said the same thing about Wroe and AFC

"He should have p*ssed off with the rest of the AFC sh*te".

Don't think it went down well with the Nicky Wroe appreciation society sat infront of us, which I can only assume were relatives of his.

He did say that the opposition had be "doubling up" on him. I guess that is only to be expected.

Theoretically, this should provide space for others in the team.

    Hello Paul,

What you said above was your opinion.

I was paraphrasing an interview Devaney gave to the local rag. I was actually SUPPORTING your thoughts with facts.

Any particular reason for the hassle you gave me?

he's suffering because the defence prefer hoof it over the top and bypass midfield completely despite having two flying wingers.

Yes, Hoofing it over Wroes head in the second half, which was a good move..

Plus, when Devaneys getting doubled marked and struggling to get going, he needs at least a half decent midfield player to play with... Make that killer pass... Lose that extra defender and find him the much needed space. WROE ???

Then we should stick him up front

    and play 3 strikers.

If he takes 2 men everytime its sure to create lots of space!
