Just said there was some trouble, they didn't know how it started but were critical of the police saying that they are brutal in the way they go in.

I agree with what Ruud just said about the Italian police

They're supposed to stop it not antagonise it. I can imagine that it's pretty hard to not smack the **** that's batttering your head in with a baton!!

In fairness, an Italian policeman was killed recently at a football game, so their over-reaction is pretty understandable - they showed the cause, Roma fans taunting them when they scored and the moronic Utd fans charged straight for them.

One you could clearly see continously hitting someone on the floor, thats hardly just restraining someone

Regardless of what happened earlier in the season Italy has been the same for years.

if i were a Man Utd fan id be glad i was staying behind for 90 minutes.

The most scariest thing about going to Italy (to watch football mind) is the police are on the Ultras side. They have a big plastic (used to be glass ffs) barrier to divide the away fans from the ultras and the police stand on the away fans side. If owt kicks off the police lay into the away fans, even the non hooligan element.

Just before the world cup a Boro fan got stabbed by an ultra when he was with his 11 year old son......
