Not be able to get one today so could anyone please tell me any proper news in the sport, rather than the typical sensationalism they spout.

    Cheers

    Maurice Watkins joining the board

sounds like the takeover might be faltering, although at £1million plus £6mill if we get in the Prem, we're cheap to buy in Championship terms.

That's really interesting - Man U board for almost 30 years, chairman of The Super League. Contacts across the game etc etc.

Got to be a good move. Looks like he was the fella we consulted with the Morgan/Hume case, too.

Either way, we could do a lot worse.

imho he's there to fill the missing skill set of the current board set up.

    ie competency.

Re: Maurice Watkins joining the board

It goes back a long way. A very respected businessman, passionate BFC supporter and all round good egg told me a few things regarding Mr Taylor and how he conducts/conducted himself with regard to BFC. I obviously cannot prove or repeat what was said so I accept any and all criticism that comes my way for that, but I know what I know.

Plus I genuinely fail to see how a bloke that was part of the episode that nearly saw us go out of business can in all good faith be part of our club now. In my opinion he should have stepped aside when we went into admin and had the good grace to sever links at Board level with BFC and become just a paying fan.
