is that: a. That was one of the easiest victories that Palace will have for a long time. Never, from the first whistle, did it remotely look like we were capable of winning the game. It was embarrasingly easy for them at times. I can take an away defeat - most clubs have plenty of them during a season - but what I struggle with is the thought that it is not possible to do anything other than lose and that's how it looks at the moment. Any point away from home is going to be rare one and a victory would be a huge shock. b. Palace are not one of the top sides in this division. If they can stroll to victory as if we weren't there like that, then I can't see us picking up another point all season. c. With Anderson and Muller back the in the squad, whether there are individual inclusions you agree with or disagree with, the fact is that Davey had close toa full strngth squad to choose that team from - that is the best we have got. I don't believe that they are that bad, but something doesn't work and you can only point to the management. c. However, it is obvious that PC is not going to sack Davey any time soon. Comments he has made seem to suggest that it is not on the radar at all - we could get hammered by Wednesday and it would not affect his thinking. By the time the sheer vocal force triggers a change it will be far too late. d. PC also seems to suggest that one of the reasons for not sacking him, is that nobody else would come to Barnsley. e. We are definitely going down playing like that, and it does not look like there will be any kind of change in the club to trigger an upturn in fortunes. The only victories so far have been against a Derby side playing at their lowest ebb (bet we wouldn't beat them now) and a Donny side that look out of their depth at this level and are destined to join us in the bottom 3 at the end of the year. We haven't even scored awaty from Oakwell since the opening day of the season. f. When we do go down, we will miss out on the increased funding for the championship next year - we couldn't choose a worse season to go back down. And then it will be even harder to come back and establish ourselves at this level. Things don't look good for the club at the moment.
hate to admit it... but most of what dsl red said is absolutely spot on the 'routine' away defeats is what worries me most
