Looks like he of the massive ego, deluded opinions of his club and biggest nashers since Jack off 'On the Buses' is taking Taylor to court after all. He now wants the ballot papers 'forensically examined' - see article below from Mirror. ************************************************************************************************ FA chief Barry Taylor in another row By Simon Mullock 14/06/2009 Barnsley director Barry Taylor is to have his re-election to the FA Council investigated. Sunday Mirror Sport revealed two weeks ago that Doncaster chairman John Ryan had demanded that the ballot to decide the position of Yorkshire and Derbyshire regional representative should be taken again. He claimed Taylor had used tactics that broke FA rules when he won the vote 9-8. Ryan, who was standing against Taylor, alleges that his rival sent out literature promoting his own campaign along with photocopies of the official ballot paper. This contravenes strict FA rules on voting procedure. When this claim was put to Taylor by the Sunday Mirror two weeks ago he said: "It's utter nonsense. "The only thing I sent out was e-mails to all clubs asking them to vote for me." However, the Sunday Mirror has been sent documentation from a Football League club in Yorkshire that proves Taylor did send out a pamphlet promo-tinhis campaign along with a photocopy of the ballot paper. One club source said: "We received the letter and a copy of the voting form with it." The row is a major test of FA chairman Lord Triesman's promise to bring greater transparency to the organisation. He has received confirmation from Tarik Shanel, Football Regulation manager at the FA, that a complaint has been forwarded to the Football Regulator. Taylor has occupied the post for 19 years and will become a life vice-president of the FA if the result of the original election is upheld or he wins any re-run. Last week, he was on FA duty in Kazakhstan when England won 4-0 in a World Cup qualifier. Ryan had warned the FA that he was prepared to take legal action if they failed to investigate his claims. He even asked the FA not to destroy any ballot papers so that they could be forensically examined. Ryan was encouraged to stand for the FA Council by several clubs in the Yorkshire and Derbyshire area after transforming the fortunes of Doncaster. He rescued Rovers when they were on the brink of collapse and the club have consolidated a place in the Championship after three promotions in six years.
Surely, if the vote was held again... People would think he was so petty that they'd vote for Taylor anyway. I know I would. He's basically suggesting those that voted for Taylor couldn't form an opinion for themselves. Then again it seems he's just taking a leaf out of Sheff Utd's book...
