Apparently according to some on here we need Experienced players so what defines experience? Because even with the small squad we have we've quite a few players with first team games under their belt James Bailey as played in 157 games but he's transfer listed so we'll not count him

    Nayatanga 287
    Hourihane 178
    Watkins 176
    Turnbull 148
    Winnall 112
    Scowen 109

That's 1010 games between them, so I'd say 50% of our starting line up so far as experience in terms of game time, so what sort of experience is it we're lacking then if indeed you feel we are, are you wanting players with experience above this level ? Players with promotions on their cv ? What is it you're wanting us to bring in ?

Someone whos around 26-32ish, been playing at this level or higher for at least a 3/4 years and possibly have been involved in a promotion push/relegation scrap or any kind of high pressure situation. Can only think of Nyatanga in the current squad who fits.

Take a brave man manager, with a really strong character, to bring someone in who's around the same age and more experienced then him, and you're also looking for players willing listen to someone the same age as them, and not had as much first team experience as they've had. Easier said then done I'd say, most footballer have egos the size of the moon, you'll struggle to find some willing to take a rollicking of a 5'6" bloke the same age ish as them.

No they're not. But do you want us risking a large chunk of our wage budget on a gamble from above or a small part (leaving room to bring others in) on a gamble from below? Past dealings suggest the former is the bigger gamble.

Id rather us be sensible and bring the right players in regardless of what league they come from. Its ok having 6/7 young, lower league players but you need to compliment that with 2/3/4 older more experienced heads, something we currently lack in abundance.

We haven't finished shopping yet. We can get experience from below, and as stated in the OP there's plenty of experience in the squad now.
