I Think............ Leon can play, but Keigan Parker would have had to have been registered seven days in advance.
RE: I Think............ They would both be able to play. The thing is, Blackpool would probably have it drawn into his contract or mutually agree that he wouldnt be able to play.
This is strange Yesterday you were arguing he would be able to play. I suppose when you argue both sides of an issues you're bound to be right 50% of the time. Which, for you, is a significant increase.
RE: I Think............ A "registered player" is one who is either, in the case of a player under written contract, registered with The Association or, in the case of a player without a written contract, registered with a League in which his Club competes in the current season. Any such registration must have been received and accepted by The Association or League by 12 noon on the Friday previous to the date fixed for playing the Round, and the registration must be continuous through to the date of the match. In order to be eligible for the Final, the players must have been correctly registered and eligible for the Semi-Final Round of the Competition. So, no - he wouldn't be available.
According to the Chronicle Diego Leon can't play against Blackpool because 1st Jan signing did not allow qualifying time. First available match would be Norwich at home.
RE: According to the Chronicle Tell the Chronicle they are talking '******' then I quote "Under FA rules his January 1st signing for the Oakwell outfit comes too late for him to feature in the third round tie with Blackpool tomorrow." I like their reference to 'The Oakwell outfit' makes us sound like a 'hit squad'
RE: According to the Chronicle The Chronicle is talking ******, if they would've looked the rules up on the FA website - they could have published something trust-worthy.
RE: According to the Chronicle SD thought the same thing in an interview at xmas. He said he wouldn't be registered in time because it had to be done a week in advance for cup games. Seems somebody at the club needs to read the rules. Even sky got it right and said he is available (Leon that is).
RE: Thought Leon signed before Jan 1st? nt Said on Sky Sports news about 10 days ago that Leons first game was Blackpool in the FA Cup.
RE: Thought Leon signed before Jan 1st? nt Sky Sports said we had signed him almost 2 weeks ago, didnt know if it was one of these loopholes(unattached or Foreign club)type of things.
Official website did say about a week or so back that the club hoped his first game would be against Blackpool in the cup.
