Are we obliged to play him while he's with us or something because I can't understand how he has been involved so much while the likes of O'Brien and Mellis are having to settle for sitting on the bench but then proving to be exactly what we're missing when they come on.

I'd send him back, but would we then be risking burning our bridges with Man Utd? Even if that was the case it's no big loss, we've had plenty of loan players off them and nearly all of them have been truly rubbish. Just because they are contracted to Man Utd doesn't mean they are any good but they do seem to get more opportunities than similar standard players at other clubs.

Think there's only Nardiello that I can remember who seemed decent as a loan from Man Utd and even he went downhill pretty quickly.

Drinkwater, was he really any good.

Had 2 good games max, and gave the ball away more times than Wiseman was out of position yesterday.

    Fair enough.

I still don't think it's worth bringing their average youngsters over and agreeing to give them guaranteed first team football in the hope that they will be good for us as 9 times out of 10 they are worse than our own players.

He was OK but helped by the fact we had Vaz Te and Butterfield winning games for us on their own. We obviously associate Drinkwater with a period when we were doing rather well, whether or not he was instrumental in that is open for debate.

Think tunnicliffe as been one of the reason for our slump.

Not because he's no good, just seems to have upset our rhythm bringing a midfielder which we didn't need.

If fans are wondering why the **** hes playing surely the players who where doing so well must be pissed off.

If he was for cover then fine but he shouldn't be replacing players who had had put so much effort in to get us out of the mess.

note to flicker: Stop over thinking everything and just let the players go out and play
