Might be able to get out of work early tonight, so if the traffic's ok I'll get up for the game tonight.
Can sometimes take me 2 hours from the centre of Nottingham though, so with the current roadworks wonder if it will take me longer. Ta.

It took me 2 hours to get from Leicester to Barnsley

setting off at 4.30pm on a Thursday if that helps.

Cheers. Should be OK to get out at 4.30 so with a bit of luck should be alright.

Ta. Think trying to get upto J27 would be a nightmare at that time too, so will probably just head straight for J26 and hope for the best.

Maybe not for today, but if 26 is a nightmare, follow the A610 from Nottingham, pick up the A38, A61 takes you into Chesterfield, then choice of junction 29 M1 or straight on into Sheffield.

Someone here mentioned a route similar to that in the past. I'll have a chat with him and see if might be quicker. Cheers.

We always come through there between 5.00 and 5.30. Sometimes you fly straight though other times can be difficult and added problems of roadworks at present. Best bet is to watch the signs and listen to radio and be prepared to re-route. There are other ways as Dirk says like the A38/A61 or possibly go across to the A1 at Newark.

Thanks. Will avoid the A1 though - think there are roadworks still going on. Got stuck for ages last time I went that way.
