I broke my pelvis but that was rugby football, playing Association football I've done toes, ribs and wrist as well as doing in the ligaments in my right foot.
Been playing for 8 years since i was 9 and never had a serious injury. My worst is probably being poked in the eye playing 5 a side, couldnt see so had to be subbed. Bloody painful too. ff
Left kneecap pointing to the other leg. Went to clear the ball with right foot, high tackle on mi left knee, pushed my kneecap 90degrees round. Spent months in traction, and 2 months to walk again.
Both bones (tib 'n fib) left leg at age 42 - understood then what the word 'pain' meant. Either that or I'm a great big wuss. Remember being put on a ward before going to theatre and the nurse said, as she closed the curtains round the bed, you will need to be cleaned up (bed bath) first and as she was an attractive young lass I thought at least there's some benefit from being here, and it'll take mi mind off the pain. Nursy disappeared, presumably to get the washing 'tackle', well, no cos about 10 minutes later the curtains flew open and a wizen faced old battleaxe slammed a wash bowl down on the table, threw a cloth straight into mi midriff and said "that can wesh thissen down thier, am not touchin it". Suddenly felt the pain again.
broken ankle had it snaped by a lovely 15 stone centre back. Also managed to get myself a broken nose on about 8 occasions!
RE: Ugly limper then? ff ff id say my face has character! and i played on for 5 minutes on the ankle thought id just sprained it! when i say played on though i mean hobbled on one foot like

Achilles tendon Training on Oakwell astroturf. Other than that none, except maybe a couple of knocks and bruises.
I can't outdo the broken bone brigade but...... if you really want to know pain, theres nowt like getting a full on blaster hitting you mid thigh from about two foot in the middle of January. I used to regulary sport a circular bruise complete with panel marks and the word Mitre in the middle.
RE: I can't outdo the broken bone brigade but...... ......thats got to hurt..
Mate had the same thing with a rugby ball and it said "Mit" on his forehead for about a week.
When them plastic balls had the name embossed on em.

Never had much worse then bumps, cuts and bruises. At 54 and still playing small sided on Thurday nights I've been lucky.
