Are people mad. One goal doesnt justify that. Remember Richards has scored 3 this season. Tommy is going to have to continue to plug away. Personally I dont think he is all that. But he hasnt had much of a chance. Just going to have to wait. Nads coming back too!

The game was made for Tommy yesterday. If Burnley are a similar hoof and chase team with giants like Stoke he might be worth a punt. Personally i think I would stick with Richards and use Wrighty as a super sub.

Wright does well off the bench as he offers us something different and the last thing a defence want after playing 60-70 mins already is Tommy Wright chasing every ball.

Stick with Richards and bring Tommy off the bench.

One goal does not change a great deal but at least it might put some much needed pressure on Marc Richards because quite frankly he were poor on Saturday. Hayes did more graft and Wright looked hungrier when he came on. Plenty of folk encouraging him when he was warming up, hope some of those messages got through to him. Not everyone is against him!!

Not sure what was up with Richards, but I would have thought he'd be full of confidence after making a decent start to the season and his manager backing him so well. I can only think of one decent thing where he and Hayes linked up and Hayes fired wide.

If Wright can now find his form and Nardiello gets back to fitness, it'll be just at the right time.

Just need to sort the defence out. Hassell can't play there on an ongoing basis, not against teams like Stoke anyway.

Richards was up against a good centre half...

who dealt with him pretty well. Hopefully he'll learn from it and do better next time. He still put the effort in it just wasn't effective this time. It's going to happen for a youngish team making a step up in class that individual players will find the odd opponent that on the day is too good for them.

Maybe, but I felt that there was a bit missing from Richards on Saturday. I thought he'd be brimming with confidence and give the centre half a much better game.

Michael Duberry was just too big, too strong and too EXPERIENCED for him. Has it crossed anyone's mind that when Richards went off, the Stoke defence might just have relaxed, thinking that they had seen off the major threat up front.
