Let's be reight He's 30 years old in November and he's only ever started 115 league games. Before this season he'd managed just 22 goals. I'm not sure you can ignore the ten years he had as a misfiring, injury prone nobody and pin your hopes on just one season that may turn out to be a fluke. Personally, I'd be very cautious about signing someone like that.
RE: Let's be reight I can see what you saying to be fair but i suppose it all depends on what we have to spend. In my opinion he might be worth a punt. Possible other targets Martin Paterson at Scunny? Loan signing from a PL club like Hull did with Campbell possibly? Whats your thoughts?
Ok then Lets throw into the hat - Nathan Tyson at Forest What would you think to him down at the well?
RE: Ok then Maybe or Agogo at Forest. Suppose it depends if they go up. Neither played at this level.
To be honest mate, I really don't know My knowledge of strikers outside Barnsley football club and outside the premiership isn't worth a ****.
RE: i would like to see Cureton That's a good call but we would have to rely on Southampton going down.
Some suggestions that might also help increase attendance Dawid Jawka - Gornik Zabrze - Poland Nikolai Ryndyuk - Daugava - Latvia Povilas Luksys - Ekranas - Lithunia.
Lisbie would be a good signing. Spent most of his career as a backup striker for Charlton who where a decent top 10 premiership club most of the time. He scored a hat trick against Liverpool a few years ago and don’t think his record as a backup striker was too bad. He then went on to shown what he can do with regular starts with the goals he’s scored this season. Nathan Tyson would cost more and is unproven, also I didn’t think he was up to much when he’s played against us.
RE: Some suggestions that might also help increase attendance still think freddie eastwood would be ideal, would fit straight in with the welsh connections (davey, nyatanga, nardiello) and him an jcr had a good understanding at southend aswell, alongside macken nxt season
