Best offer I've had all day! Not got any bovril in but could pick up some fish and chips and bring a couple of bottles of red wine if that's any good.
this 'ere raffle system... why would you sit outside the ground half the night, having now experienced how it works.......... get there about 3 o'clock the day before, get your ticket, near as damn it at the front, bugger off home and come back 10 minutes before the gates open and swan up to the front of the queue. Jobs a good un.
because ppl are idiots, and the british love nothing more than queing and moning, and if they have a que to moan about there as happy as larry
I think it's an effective system for dealing with queues when there's no limit on the number of season ticket books you can produce, but this time there is a restriction of 4 books per person, meaning that the club will have a much clearer idea of actual ticket sales based on the number of people in the queue. As the turnstiles will be open between 8.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m, there is more opportunity for people to purchase their tickets, so the raffle ticket system shouldn't be necessary. It's unfair insomuch as the people queueing the next day don't really have a true indication of their place in the queue when the club are trying to catch up on a backlog of customers from the previous day.
RE: I think it's an effective system for dealing with queues when It worked on the last day when they knew they only had 1400 tickets for general sale for the Chelsea game ,raffle ticket holders 1 to 650 were guarenteed tickets, after then they said you can queue but tickets aren't guarenteed. With sales for cash at the turnstyles they can sell tickets quite quickley, and they knew how many were left in each stand. If they do it the same it should save some poor sod queueing for hours at a turnstyle to find his chosen seat price has sold out and having to join the back of another queue
Why?????????????? There are about 7000 season ticket holders, so at 4 apiece that's 28000 tickets, so they can't sell out. season ticket holders hav 3 days (thurday, friday and sunday) to buy tickets. Why queue over night?
