    Whats up with everybody ???
Everybody seems to be getting ready to throw themselves in the Dearne

We arn't finished yet, theres some positives here
I would rather have Davey in charge than Ritchie
OK, Ritchie was good at motivating the players he had got
But he wasn't going to go out there and bring many if any more players in
At least we know Davey is going to strengthen the squad

Its a pity that the majority moaning now wasn't doing that towards Ritchie before the season started
I know some of you were but the vast majority wern't
And if you had been I think the message would have been heard loud and clear in the board room

So to sum up, lets say this, ok we know Davey is a rookie manager and a more experienced manager at this moment in time would seem the better option, BUT, we have a better chance of getting out of trouble with Davey in charge than with Ritchie

    i would prefer AR

and still do not believe that he did nt want to sign players, like i've said he wanted experience players GS others him 2 kids yes he may not have been too proactive in name naming but why did GS offer him 2 kids when he knew they did not meet the little criteria set?

AR and director of football would have been superb!

However i still think we will stay up and Davey gets my full support but if we go down playing the kind of football we have seen 4 out of the last 5 games (no fight, no attack, little spirit) then i will be extremeley upset, at least under AR we had a go at teams and if we went down playing that type of football you would have far less grumbles!

I think there is alot of concern about this, the fact that at least under AR we played well and lost at the minute we cannot say we have been unlucky becuas ewe have deserved to lose for poor tatics!!

To me we've got about the same chance of getting out of trouble with Davey as we had with Ritchie.

Davey may well add new bodies but the quality level is questionable at the minute

    Make your mind up cocker...

    do not get results

Wasn't Ritchie's point of view that he wasn't just going to bring players in for the sake of it.

Players brought in since departure :

    None have improved the squad.

Ritchie had his faults but if we had brought in a proven manager then I could understand his sacking - we haven't.

I saw nothing from Davey in those 7 games which would suggest he could turn us around. I am prepared to be proved wrong but I don't think we will stay up.

    RE: Electronic Whiteboards

Only player that looked like he would improve the side was Wallwok and I can't see him playing again for us

Yes - but think on - look at the state of the squad Ritchie left behind

When Ritchie was in charge we had a decent team that with a few additions would have got us into the TOP SIX
Couple of experienced strikers and a centre back would have gone a long way
But it dint happen, we were left with a weak squad
Suspensions injuries and we were in trouble
so we went for the quick fix - emergency signings after he left -
Out of the permitted 4, we have got one average player McCann
The others were either not good enough or nearly got stabbed to death
Against Wendy we had a make do and mend team on the pitch..........result 0-3 against our nearest rivals

Bring players in does not = strengthen the squad

We knew Ritchie was shrewd and teneded to bring in decent players with a tight budget. My personal belief was that his lack of signings was due to wanting to get value for money and having limited money - as yet I've seen nothing to disprove that theory

I'll wait and see what any new signings play like before I decide whether Davey is strengthening the squad or just spending small amounts of money. If he spends large amounts of money (say £1m in total) I will change my opinion of Ritchie - I'll be suprised if he's allowed to though.

So far I haven't seen anything to suggest Davey will improve things. That's not a criticism, just I'm waiting to see the results of what happens - and currently we aren't any higher in the table and Kyle Ried would be an unfair assesment of his ability in the transfer market.

    average

and we have gone ahead and signed him for £100,000

If he is the calibre of player we are signing then I am sorry, but we will not stay up. Scientific Fact.

And less chance of survival than if we had a experienced manager in charge.

How on earth can we sit down wih agents and players and put forward constructive contract talks....a) a manaer who at 35 has never done it before b) a chairman who at 70+ has no previous experience either. blind leading the blind.

    Forget this season, I have.

Is Davey capable of getting together a side capable of making a challenge for promotion next year?

    contract negotiation

follows the same principles whatever it is you're buying or selling. I'm sure Sheps had done it plenty of times in the past.
