Beating Liverpool 1-0

Watching Tranmere have six shots and score six goals on the same night we about 35 shots when Danny was in charge! :((

Best: Either 1-0 against Sheff Utd in 1996 for importance or Man Utd 1-1.

Worst: Losing 4-0 against Donny. Last game for Paul Hart I think. Plus, it snowed.

Best: First win in premier league, 1-0 at Palace. Looked then as if we might stay up easily.

Worst: A couple of dreary trips to Oldham in the snow. Any away game at Coventry (my nearest team :'( )

Both in Midlands. Brum in PO's and WBA last season. But trips to Hillsborough hurt the most.

    best 1-0 at sheff utd 96 , worst 0-2 oldham 89

hedrie scores in the 85th minute and the reds go top of the table , to do it at bramhall lane made it all the more special

oldham away.... officially the coldest any human being has ever been . we didnt get in there half let alone have a shot....

This was my first ever away match. Loved every single minute of it.

Best for me was definitely 4 - 0 at Birmingham in the play-offs and worst was Palace away last season. Ritchie's last game in charge. A long trip, expensive hotel for the night and miserable drive home.

Best: 2-1 victory over Leeds at Elland Road in April 1990. Mel Machin had some sort of brain malfunction and took off both Paul Futcher and Mark Smith to be replaced by Owen Archdeacon and Brendan O'Connell. Unbelievably they both scored, which secured the double over Leeds and went a long way to us securing our second division status. We were the only club to win at Elland Road that season as Leeds were promoted. The game at Middlesbrough a week or so later is right up there too.

Worst: Earlier that season we lost 7-0 at West Brom and 5-0 at Blackburn. Both games were excruciating. Machin performed a miracle keeping us up.
The numerous defeats at Hillsborough take some swallowing too.

walsall which I think was a new years day was a good un

worst goals wise was west brom last year but it didn't matter we were staying up

apart from that coventry last season and losing against bury in the ldv

I've missed some big away losses: ipswich, grimsby and port vale couldn't have been pleasant

That Leeds one in 1990 is my favourite ever too

Worst ever I think was that 3-0 at Doncaster the other year when we had someone sent off and it snowed.

Best - Man Utd away in the FA Cup

Worst Sheffield Wednesday away in the premier league when Di Canio scored in the last minute when he shouldn't have even been on the field.

5-0 away at Wolves in my earlier years of watching the Reds sticks in my memory. Think Molineaux only had 3 stands back then as well...or perhaps a shed for a stand.

West Brom away in the Promotion season having returned from my hols that morning. Half the team had changed unbelievably they were all improvements and played like they'd been in the same side for years.

Man City in the same season n'all...got to love late winners.

Worst include Oldham away for the Gunner Halle penalty that never was debacle. Fecking freezing in Oldham as well. Most trips to Swillsborough...apart from the Zenith Data Systems one!!
