From next season, if you think it's too early to predict until we know who we've sign and so on, just don't reply save wasting your time.

Taking into account our manager board wage budget and so on I think we'll struggle again for 12 months, 10th / lower mid table, just hope we don't panic into sacking Wilson because of results but if he continues to be negative in tactics and formation then let him go and my guts telling me he'll not see season out

    Hope I'm wrong

I think we'll have a similar experience to Preston. go down there for a few seasons and then get into the play-offs and looking like they're winning it. Hope not but sadly i think that will happen.

At this stage, top half finish at best - based on us losing Crainie, Mellis, COG and Jennings.

Top half finish with boring football.

That's how DW ended up at Sheff Utd, so I see no difference to his attitude and strategy here at BFC.

Play-offs. But lose in the play-offs. That's a standard Danny Wilson season in League 1. He gets all his teams in to the play-offs. Unfortunately, he always loses. That's the biggest criticism of Wilson's managerial career, his record in the play-offs. 5 play-off campaigns, but never won promotion through them. If we get to the play-offs we should sack him before the games, then reinstate him after promotion.

Having said that, I've realised over the years that my guts have **** for brains.

Think we will have a season of adjustment next year and probably be lucky to avoid relegation again. Here's hoping I'm ****ing wrong!

Slow start, hovering around mid table during the opening months of the season. Then results & performances start to pick up, with us finishing the season very well.

Mid table, or slightly higher maybe pushing the last play off place.

Win some, lose some, mid-table. And i expect us to make at least three signings that excite us, only for them to turn out to be rubbish.

Top 10 playing some ok football after a slow start picking up momentum from December onwards. Not sure if we will have enough to get to the play offs depends on retention and recruitment.

its important to keep our best players now dont bother selling them, if we sell then its going to be 10th or lower easy,it takes too long to build a team from scratch thats why we nearly relegated last time because we brought **** in, we have to start the season strong with our better players and make teams fear us and show them our promotion credentials, and to start getting the fans interested for a push back to the championship. we will see whats the boards made of when the season gets going, ambitious or not ambitious.

    I love these threads.

Let's predict where we'll finish next season when we've got only 10 players on the books & we're likely to get bids for 4 of them.

In fairness, the original post is asking me to take into account things I (and most people on here I assume) know nothing about!!

The mentality and direction of the board as well as any kind of budgeting are probably only known to a few.

The manager on the other hand we've seen in action but again it's at bit rough to judge him as a whole on last season - a team created by someone else, desperate January throws of the dice etc - i'm not sure they paint an accurate picture of what we will see next year.

Personally, all that said, i'm optimistic. But then, I always am at this time of year

A finish anywhere between 10th and 18th, depending on who we retain and sign.
Would love some inspiring signings that fill me with hope but frankly I reckon our recruitment will probably be disappointing.
Honestly think it'll take two or three years before we are any kind of force at League 1 level.

I'm just waiting to see who we sign and who leaves, the starting XI in August could potentially be unrecognisable.

You might joke but Sheff Utd pretty much tried that, and failed.
