All about decision making I reckon, knowing when to do it or when a big punt upfield or into Row Z is better. Makes me laugh when Carragher criticises the Stones for trying to be composed, but there have been times when the big clearance would have been better. But the Stones type of centre half is something England need as years of bypassing midfield has resulted in teams dominating us as we concede possession so cheaply. His decision making will improve with experience, especially at international level.
