Why am I seeing liverpool players holding hands swinging them towards the home fans after a late draw against West Bromwich Albion

    It's embarrassing.

It's called bonding with the fans and thanking them for their support.

Well Barnsley players better not want to start ''bonding'' with the fans in that way.

My first thoughts when I saw it was, WTF

I couldn't give two ****s if James Milner is a bit upset about doing it.

I couldn't give two ****s if any of the players do.

They get paid thousands a week to kick a ball about watched by people on thousands a year.

The very least they can do is show their thanks and appreciation.

If they can't do that then they are in the wrong job.

You should have seen what the Barnsley players used to do in the '80s after they'd run out to the clap clap song. I agree Phil, it is embarrassing.

Depends what the purpose is to be honest. If it's a celebratory thing then it's pretty embarrassing, but if it's something they do to thank the fans after every game then I think it's fair enough, and actually a nice touch.

Why? You seem to be threatened by it in some way. If that's how they want to celebrate then good on 'em. How it affects you I have no idea.

Perhaps somebody knew that it was a German thing before they posted.

They're a special club pal. They're a family. Their fans just care so much more than anyone else. That's why.

It happens at the end of every Bundesliga match. Orchestrated fan thanks for coming kind of stuff.

Juergen wants what he had at Dortmund. Nothing wrong with it

They weren't celebrating, that's a fact. Most German teams acknowledge the fans after the game in similar style. When I saw Bayer Leverkusen lose to FSV Mainz 05, the Leverkusen players actually climbed over the fence in to the ultras section to apologise to the fans for losing.

    Is it?

The first time I recall seeing it was when South Korea beat Italy in the 2002 world cup. I just thought everyone adapted it after then?
