Certainly sounded better didn't it, they were still playing it over the sound system as we left the stadium, and we were almost the last to leave.......
That was great BUT my only complaint about yesterday was the subsequent music - "Rocking All Over The World", and "We are The Champions". Totally outdated, and totally unnecessary. We've just won a trophy. We don't need to be prompted to celebrate, it will come naturally. All that playing the out of date, irrelevant music does, is drown out any singing. Wished they'd have just let us get on with it. Other than that, everything about Wembley was miles better than previous visits. (Well, maybe The Green Man was too packed!)
Ace wasn't it, it was played three times!! The first time was a bit early I think, it was around 1.45 and should have been about 2.15, Not enough people where inside the ground....and it also missed the opening bit out and just sort of started. The 2nd time soon after the game was amazing, soon after the trophy was lifted, you see it on sky and the commentator says "Wembley is bouncing" as 25,000 people are clapping and it's a sea of red and white Then our 4 left the ground with hardly anyone left inside, and it started up again over the outside speakers
All I heard during Rocking All Over The World was everybody singing (if i remember right they played it after the win at the Millennium Stadium) and for We Are The Champions I'm a queen fan so that was ace !
I thought "Rocking All Over The World" was brill. It was also one of the lasting memories of the Millennium Stadium win, dancing around and singing to the song with a bunch of total strangers who sat at the side of us...
