.. I used to come to Oakwell with my Dad & my mates in the '80's and watch good attacking football which was appreciated by the crowd no matter what the result. Things didn't always go so well and the times of Machin etc the football quality dropped off till we were rescued by Danny Boy and had our 5 minutes of glory in the Prem. I can't say for certain whats going on now cos I emigrated to Australia so haven't seen first hand for a while, but from reading the match reports it seems as if we have a squad a decent young players who will fight to the end for each other no matter what. What's happened to the Barnsley fans of old? It's not that long ago we were raising the roof at Oakwell while getting hammered by Chelsea, singing "we're gonna win 5-4, (6-5) (7-6). So get behind the lads and stop this negativity, (I know it may not count to alot of you but I scream & shout during the commentaries at 1 o'clock in the morning). I don't usually get worked up. I've been reading this website for years and must admit I don't contribute an awful lot but the doom mongers that are on the board calling for AR's head really get to me. Not sticking to a manager is excatly why we went into administration. I know it's been said about other BFC managers in the past but look to Man U and the board standing by Ferguson, boy I bet they wished they bowed to fan pressure and sacked him! I hope we don't get relegated this season but even if we do we've got to stick by Andy and get the team rebuilt and our bank balance back to black. Well said I think most fans agree with you. This board has far too much negativity. The team are excellent but have been a bit unlucky and AR has been totally fabulous since day one - you only have to think back a year.
