    looks like they have postponed until October now

    They are still cooling the pipes using the liquid hydrogen to temps lower than in space.

    Still a lot of folk out there believe it is a stargate that when fired for the first time will create point zero (the tim to where people can travel back to) so therefore we could get time travellers coming back for the first time.

    A large amout of people belivee it could create a black hole that will gobble up the earth. Some scientists in Hawaii have even launched a lawsuite to try and stop them firing it up for this very reason.

    Also a lot of people belive it is being built for alterior motives.

    Me - im just sitting back with interest and seeing what happens. I think thats what a lot of the scientists are doing as well as nobody knows exactly what will happen.

    If it was a Stargate then would all our problems be solved?

    They'd come through with a computer packed full of hi-tech solutions to our current problems? We'd be driving hover cars in 6 months. Maybe not.
