    there seems to be an obsession with the past. Just an observation. I wonder why posters seem unable to talk about the present and their feelings towards the future.

    I think it's human nature to be interested in one's own past experiences. Older people appear (to young people) to be obsessed with the past because they have much more past to go at.</p>
