Was there anyone who posts on here who put forward Lee Johnson as a candidate to replace him?

 

Not that I can remember. Came a bit of the blue didn't it? His record at Oldham was average in my opinion..

 

His record at BFC is the worst in my living memory!

 

I can't imagine he would have been on anyone's radar.

Usually in the aftermath of a manager getting the bullet, and sometimes whilst they're still in post, you get all manner of names suggested as a better man for the job or whatever. But I honestly can't remember Lee's name being suggested by a supporter, either on here or among the lads I go to games with etc. I know he was linked very early on in the media, but even then, I can't recall folk agreeing and throwing their lot behind him.

There isn't much point to this thread, it was just summat swimming around my head..

No, not that I can remember. As I recall there was quite a bit of head scratching when his name was strongly linked.

 

If he clings on to the job and a miracle happens and we get promoted , I think I suggested him otherwise I'd not heard of him before we appointed him

 

Think one or two posted they bet him at 16-1 to get job

 

Someone can't remember who was so convinced he was going to get the job at I put a bet on and won quite a bit. They were convinced right from the start no idea why.

 

As ive said from the very beginning, I have absolutely no idea as to how he even came into thinking but I was hopeful I'd be proved wrong. I saw nothing when he came in last season, even those first 4 games were pretty dreadful and its continually got worse. I thought he should have been gone 6/7 weeks ago and by this point I dont know whether someone is playing some kind of joke on us or the powers that be really are so inept as to let this continue.

I was sure the only reason he was in a job was because new owners were about to come in. That's not looking likely though at the minute.

Presume we are waiting to give him the January transfer window and see how he gets on with a more experienced squad.....BUT the club have already admitted that we had experienced targets in the summer and every single one of them turned us down....why will January be any different? Are we more of an attractive proposition than we were in the summer?

I voted for nobody/anybody on the understanding that we'd be demanding he be sacked before I could recognise him in the street. For the next manager I want someone I really don't like so I won't care when we start abusing him and might even join in. Hitler or Pol Pot or Kevin Blackwell, someone like that.

To be honest, I don't think I'd ever heard of Lee Johnson until he was linked with us.

 

never heard of him until our interest was made known and then my reaction was why!

No..but I'd have been happy with giving his old man a go.

 

People keep banging this drum and I don't really understand why.. his win percentage is in the 20s and 30s for half the clubs he's managed.. Have I missed something?

 

Maybe him getting small little old Yeovil promoted numerous times and then not having the means to keep them at the level above? Did a very good job at Bristol City but I wouldnt want him, much prefer him to Lee though.
