I wasn't able to be at the Doncaster match so I have to base my thoughts on what I heard on the match commentary and from some knowledgeable friends who were there.

I asked if the problem was the midfield who were not getting the ball up to the strikers. No was the answer I got from everyone I asked. "Hayes and Richards where both terrible when they did get the ball".

I took this with a pinch of salt untill I saw the player ratings in the NOW.

    Richards 3 and Hayes 4.

I can't remember the last time our strikers rated so low?

Only service they got was high or bouncing balls with their backs to goal. In the absence of Devaney and with Howard having to tuck in to make up for the woeful Kay there was no width hence no decent crosses.

In Richards defence he tried as he always does. Theres no defending Hayes because he just didnt look interested. Mind you that applied to most of the side yesterday.
