This doesn't just mean this England men's team in the Euros. It can mean any sport really, where we have interest and support in a team.
But looking at World cups and Euros over the years as an example. Do we think that we can enjoy tournaments better when we have failed to qualify, or have got knocked out early ?.
These matches so far have been an awful experience haven't they, with hardly anything to enjoy and be proud about, at all.

USA 94 was a fantastic tournament until the drab final.

Yeah but that's not what I was asking was it Merdey!.
As daft as it sounds, I wanted to support Switzerland then, as Roy Hodgson the English man, was their manager.
And I was sick of the Norwegians defensive attitude, especially as they qualified as winners of our group.

We live in a world of negativity and vitriol.

Barnsley, England it doesn't matter, now even winning or qualifying isn't enough. We want more and better or we complain.

Unfortunately we and sports people now have to just accept this as the current way of life, there isn't enough people out there to change the tide.

So join in with the booing, if you can't beat em.

Southgate out and Clarke prepare yourself.

    Re England mate.
I can accept not winning (although I allus want us to win) what I can't accept is not putting on a show that these players and those b4 em over the last few yrs. Are supposedly capable of. I decided to watch the last 15 minutes of normal and extra time yesterday having watched 20 minutes of a group game previously. I was glad we won. But hardly a spectacle.
