when wigan give Utd a game and run um very close on Sunday I think a few on here will realise just what we were up against last Saturday,

 

Exactly, if anything that Wigan team was stronger than the one they had in the premier league. They've added much more depth to the whole team and added a proven goalscorer in grant holt. (still a bell end like)

I feel the championship could have more of a divide in quality this year. This division has been far too close over the past 2 seasons, maybe we'll see the wigans and the QPRs etc really pull away this season.

 

Don't think QPR will be anything special, worst side in the Prem by a mile last season.

 

Time will tell I suppose...

Just on the Wigan front, they've just agreed a deal to sign James McLean fr Sunderland who made 32 appearances for them last year, their gonna go places this season.

 

Wigan are undoubtedly a very good team and will in all probability be promoted this season but that doesn’t tell the whole story about Saturday. Had we played a different formation or at least changed the tactics when it was apparent plan ‘A’ wasn’t working and had we closed their midfield (Watson) down much quicker we may have faired slightly better. I'm not saying we would have beaten them, we probably wouldn't, but their excellence on Saturday was matched by our naivety and lack of quality.
