So that Barnsley players aren't allowed to run towards and past an opposition player? It's the only explanation I can think of why our entire team will come to a complete stop if they encounter a member of the opposition, turn 180 and pass the ball back to one of our defenders. Stupid rule and especially stupid when it didn't seem to apply to Lincoln who I didn't see get punished for strolling past our statues
When were Barnsley ordered to kick off with a pass back of say 50/60 yds from the centre spot to the goal keeper
We do that instead of launching it out of play so it could be an upgrade. I watch a few live games on Sky and BT and it’s quite common now to give it straight to the keeper
