    Council is working 23rd, but it's the pubs' decision. They don't want hectic Friday followed by hectic Saturday (Christmas Eve) as they wouldn't be able to get everything cleaned up, get the deliveries sorted and so on. They'd likely run out of beer, so they've pushed for the week before.

    Its on the 16th.
    The bar managers decided at a pubwatch meeting to have it on the 16th because the traditional 'bimbos' event it the 16th.
    But dont think they did this to prevent 2 busy nights in a row on the 23rd & 24th. They will be hoping their get 2 mad fridays because people will still go out when they do finsh work on the 23rd.
