Where are all the supporters

Any one on here calling for Wilson out, or stating he has not a clue, have been crucified. Where are all these stalwarts this week. It is blindingly obvious that after last year and then this year that Wilson is not cutting it. He has been at more clubs and still never been in big time apart from us.
There is something drastically wrong. He said if last week he had asked players if the thought they had played well, then none of them could have said yes. Well Danny Boy ask the same question to yourself and give us the answer. I am really looking forward to what crap you are going to come out with this week. COYR

 

A man with the motivational skills of a used teabag. Some of the names in this team, Jennings, Treacy, Hourihane, Turnbull, Cranie, Bailey. And we've conceded 8 in the last 2 home games. I wanted Wilson to have time, I wanted him to do well, but where do we go after this? The man clearly cannot cut it.

 

The no doubts imminent death knell of that legend, because that is what he is, will signal the death of football for me. I just don't think I can take him suffering the ignominy of the sack

That was gob smackingly awful again. But there is no way I want to go down the route of another sacking. The average time in job of a Barnsley Manager is fast becoming a year at best. Tell me, who'd want the fecking job anyway?

I was one of loads of people, probably the majority on this board, who said that we should now give him time and space to build. Time and Space people. How shallow is that sentiment if, at the first sign of trouble, we fire the gun, yet again.

Don't ask me to defend where we are in the league, or our performances this season so far as a reason to support my views because I can't. It's been awful and I am damned if I know what the answer is at the moment. But I am not prepared to agree that the answer is to sack another manager.

The stats say it all really!!!!!!!! Win % of Wilson second time around is not good. This is his team and yet another dismal home performance from a very very average Barnsley team. Where do we go from here?

 

Wilson wasn't my first thought as a manager when flicker went not by a long shot,
but as the candidates came forward it was obvious to me he was the obvious choice out of the weak list available to
The board.
We are not the glamorous draw some fans think we are imo and we need to give him more time especially as according to dee dar Nigel Clough turned the blunts around from almost total despair and have gone from strength to strength. Keep the faith

Second half was awful today. What else do you want me to say? Do you want congratulating for not giving our manager or the young players time?

Can't defend the performance, but that doesn't automatically make me think we should sack the manager. Before the season, almost everyone agreed that we should give the young squad time. When you do that you allow for defeats and poor performances. We've had a few of those lately. I'm doing what I said I would before the season began, giving this team time and accepting that sometimes we won't play well and lose. That's what giving them time means.

I must be looking at a different set of results to you because I'm not seeing it week in and week out. In the last 9 games we've won 3, drawn 3 and lost 3. That's not performances with no positives whatsoever week in and week out, it's inconsistency, which is exactly what I expected from a young side. There were very few positives today, we were *****, although I'd argue that Turnbull played well and Bree looks a very good prospect for a 16 year old. Not enough positives though, by any stretch of the imagination. However, I've been to a number of games this season where there have been many positives.

We went through a good patch for 5 games, we're now going through a bad patch for the last four games. No one knows what the future will bring, not me and those who have patience, not those who want the manager sacked. I want to wait and see.

What gets me is that these young academy players are used to winning. They are decent lads. Rose, Oates , go out and score. The whole academy team would do better than this team, they are coached by a good academy manager
