I'm looking forward to

"yes we played well and won BUT"

Wonder what negetive spin they can put on it this week? Wonder if they even smile when we win becasue it limits them on what they can moan about LOL!

One swallow does not a summer make!

And its strength in depth that most are concerned with. Injuries could reveal our very thin squad and lets face it Dull are not the best team in the CCC by a country mile - perhaps even relegation fodder.

Nevertheless it was a fantastic comeback and will inject some much needed self belief in all concerned.

agree we need strenghtening but healey is signing, and we will no doubt sign a few others!

But an away win at this stage is huge confidence boost, Saturday is a big game a win there will be huge for us, but away from home i'd be happy with a point!

The most pleasing thing is we are attacking teams home or away, we've nothing to lose so if we go down playing like we are now i don't think anyone can grumble!!!!

I'm sure YN will have plenty to say the first time we lose after a poor performance. (n/t)

In much the same way his detractors have the first time we've won after a good one

    agree

Fantastic result and application last night by the sounds of things.

Healy will likely be good cover for both Togwell and Howard. A combination of those three are more likely to play the lions share of the central midfield roles this year with perhaps Tonge & Williams for emergency back up.

I know Hayes and Richards both scored last night but IMHO we need to bring in some quality in that department. We miss far too many easy chances.

The fact that we need another keeper goes without further further words.

Perhaps a CH is also required.

Thats not being negative its just my opinion

    True ...

but I think there is a world of difference between enjoying a win and enjoying a defeat.

    Perhaps I'm being too harsh

Enjoys the defeat is probably a bit unkind.

But I genuinely believe that he'd enjoy the opportunity to bleat about how he 'told us all so'.

The release from the pessimism that has been the feature of this board, emanating in the main from him, has been wonderful these last few days.

    RE: agree

With Hayes and Richards i think they both work their socks off and do miss some sitters, but every team in the country just about is looking for a 20 goal season striker, Wendy for example!!!

People have mention Ferguson, but he isn't a goal scorer is he!? I still feel like we'll surprise a few people this season!!!

Midfielders that can make things happen?

Brian Howard's been the best player at the club so far.
McIndoe scored and set one up last night.
Devaney played much better last night.

What else do you want exactly? Healy's signing tomorrow...

    Nudge ...

I don't begrude you your opinions mate, I just never see the reasoning behind repeating them so vociferously and incessantly. I think everyone on the board knows your views, some share them.

I also share concerns that the squad undoubetly needs strengthening, but I don't share your views that the lack of strengthening is down to any lack of effort or ineptitude on the part of Ritchie/Shepherd or any one connected with BFC. I think that they are doing their absolute best within tight confines that have to be set.

You clearly disagree, we know that, but your posts have really rankled with me because you persist in repeating the same vitrol time and time again. That's what opinions are but I do think that once you've made them known then the time comes to move on to other subjects.

Anyway, when all is said & done we both want the same thing, just have different views of how that should be achieved.

    RE: Nudge ...

I have never said that the lack of signings can be put down to a lack of effort on the part of Ritchie/Shepherd'

    What I have said is
Yes, ineptitude may be part of it. Can AR and GS sell the club to potential players ?
I think the wage structure may be part of the problem that is to say it is not attracting the players we aare going for
And more importantly, I think AR is telling GS we will be ok with the players we have got i.e. build a team spirit with the current young players. Now I hope if this is the case, that it works.
But I do beleive that the current squad is light in number and quality

    PS.
I am probably repeating myself here but I am only answering a direct question to me e.g. see title of this thread
Or, I am contributing to the current debate
