Staying home this year Absolutely f.cking hate new year celebrations.
"Happy new year" *snog*
Load o'ballacks
Although may nip to Local for a pint or two early on before it gets silly. Then treat it like any other saturday night.

Not sure Plans were The Chery Tree at High Hoyland but last I hear my mate was having difficulty sorting out the taxi - they wanted paying up front as it was "a bit out of their way"
If anyone is interested, I'm gonna be quite content to babysit my 11 month old grandson and let his hard working mun and dad have a night out, if they want to.
RE: Aww, very noble of you Noble? ..... maybe, but, there is an ulterior motive, I babysit New Years Eve and the wife has him Monday, so I/we can go to the match.
I'm sure you will enjoy every minute that you spend with the little man. Just wait until he's old enough to go with you to the match!
RE: You'll struggle if you don't want to offer some kind of guarantee you'll be there mate. Blueline - never had the problem with them before - they seem to consider High Hoyland a bit out of the way though. They've done that for a taxi booked from Leeds, which I can understand, but High Hoyland ffs! My mate hasn't been back in touch so I'm assuming he's sorted it out. Oh and if I say I'll be there I will be....they have my word....what if they don't turn up though when they already have the cash? Who is providing the service here?
Staying in Missus going to Croydon to see her parents.
So just me and plenty of
peace and quiet, sheer bliss

RE: You'll struggle if you don't want to offer some kind of guarantee you'll be there mate. I was surprised when I heard how many no-shows they get on normal days never mind new years eve. You're a decent fella but the driver doesn't know you and doesn't want to run the risk of losing 3/4 hr on a double time night. It's not perfect but it's those who abuse the service who **** it up for the rest of us. BTW you want to be careful in them rural pubs mate. They serve that horrible cask beer. Have a good 'un wherever you end up.
RE: You'll struggle if you don't want to offer some kind of guarantee you'll be there mate. Aye you're right there.....it's the minority of idiots who spoil it for the rest of us. I'll be careful in the pub as well....I'll taste the cask ale to make sure it's ok - just to be certain! Have a good one yourself - if you can managed to get to the bar in Blah that is and don't run out of money after 2 rounds! How much is it these days for someone to take the top off a bottle for you?
