Where do Newcastle play ?

St James' Park or St James's park. I think it is the first but every bugger on the radio and the tele does not. May be one for Proothie or Eaststander

 

I think it's the 1st as well. 2 of us think it so we must be right

It's St James' Park, as is Exeter City's Ground, although Exeter's is pronounced St James's.

For Newcastle

While the name of the stadium does not take an 's' after the apostrophe, in earlier years it generally did; indeed match day programmes printed up until the late 1940s have it written as St James's Park. The name now is officially St James' Park, although the majority of people still pronounce it in with the additional possessive 's'.



p.s. I must admit that I pronounce it as St James's - well if I ever was to say it!
