If these so called allegations are true or not, does it not leave the club holding a smoking gun. Obviously it suddenly casts doubt on all players and their integrity . If it is true normally where you find one bad apple there is others, spot fixing relies on others to help make sure it as a chance to work and i would say is a very fine line between the more serious charge of match fixing if not the same. Whilst its early days and not wanting to start a witch hunt it does make you wonder if our low position each year and our last minute survival rests on the players making a fast buck, the list is endless and can soon escalate . In no shape or form am i for one minute laying blame or making accusations that this is correct or for that matter has taken place but it does make you wonder, well it does me The club i feel is what gets tarnished along with the innocent players who are then scrutinized with every thing they do. The whole situation leaves a bad taste in every ones mouth . open for debate....what do the rest of you feel
quite simple really. people tend to either believe 'innocent until proven guilty', or 'no smoke without fire'. that will define how people feel about this.
I suspect something like the ball going out for a goal kick in a certain minute is fairly easy to do alone, just hoof a long ball forward. Not saying for a second this has been done by any player.
Stop poking the fire. If there is enough fuel to keep it going, then it will re-ignite when its ready, if not , it will die away naturally.
He won't be the first Barnsley player, I can assure you of that. We always used to chuckle at kick off & say 'That's somebody's spread bet up' when the ball ended up out for a throw in within 5 seconds. And that's going back donkeys years!
