If shed131 is right, there's trouble at t'mill. One thought about Lee is that there seems little oversight of his modus operandi. Lots on here have questioned his tactics and formation, and have suggested different answers. One thing that many seem to agree on however is that we have wound up with an unbalanced squad. There are not sufficient experienced players to help dig us out of difficult situations (or prevent them in the first place). We have no 'Director of Football', so is there too much of a vacuum between Lee and the Board? The Board, according to the official website, comprises of Cryne, Watkins, Taylor and Mansford. Presumably PC as owner calls the shots. Tell you what: I would, if I were the owner. What does Maurice do? Is he paid? Does he have shares? He seems to me to have been brought in to be a figurehead - to try and sprinkle some of the Old Trafford gold dust on us. Wouldn't he have been the man to have prevented some of the mistakes of the last couple of years? Wouldn't he have scrutinised what Lee was doing? If you look at his current portfolio of interests, they are very wide and quite diverse. How much time and input can/does he afford us? BT is 'Honorary Life President/Director'. Does he have an equal say? Is he another figurehead? And Ben is a director. But he is an employee. Does he have an equal say? I like Ben, and I think he has done a number of good things to improve the running of the club and it's communications. But how far does his influence extend. I don't wish to be disrespectful of the Board members, all of whom have notable personal achievements in their past. But is there enough clarity about their roles? It's a rum old mix. I think a joint appearance of the Board members, and an explanation of their roles might not go amiss. We've had some talk in recent times about the 'vision' for the club, and that Lee buys into this vision. But does the Board speak with one voice? If this vision is so solid, are we going to stick with Lee, come what may, to see it through? If that's so, then it could do with stating and then we can all settle down on here. If there is a line in the sand (as there seems to have been with Danny) where is it drawn?
The power is probably having his breakfast but not sure about The Accountability, is he new on the tungsten scene? Hth
