Compensation pay-out for Morrison Former Scnuthorpe and Bolton midfielder Peter Morrison has been awarded more than £400,000 in compensation following a tackle that ended his career. Morrison suffered multiple breaks in his leg - and the injury was so severe that Scnuthorpe's match against Grimsby on 14 February, 2001 was abandoned. Ben Chapman was sent off for the tackle and Morrison never played again. "Football was my life since school. You can imagine what a blow it was to learn I'd never play again," he said.
