need good pub that does a decent meal for an evening out with an old friend on a Friday evening....

heard bad reports about Spencers and the Fountain just lately which is where I usually would've gone....

so any more good pubs round and about?? ideas anyone?

Probably not Joseph Bramah's - went in at 12:30 to be told there was an 80 minute wait for food!

    Cracking selection of ales though.

    The Fox house

Downside: average age of customers, 85

Advantage: you get to tuck into a joint whilst staring at a stuffed fox which has been shot dead and ripped appart by angry dogs

No it's not. It's called The Monkey.

Used to be The Eastfield Arms, but now it's The Monkey.
