I don't think I ever want us to get back into the Premiership. This division is alright, and it's our natural level.
Looks like most of us agree that 13-20 will be where we will finish, so lets hope SDs boys prove us wrong and finish higher!!!!!!! Come On You REDDDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RE: So It says 21 to 24. So they may be predicting a 21st finish which is not relegation.
awkward lovely person me

He has a point. 75% of teams relegated from the premiership habe hit admin or sunk to the lower leaques. As much as I'd want to go their again I dont think the club could survive,
Yer but to put it into perspective... what is the point in playing then? ............
Look at Bolton.
Fulham....

I think we'd need a major investor to be honest... Wigan - Dave Whelan Fulham - Al Fayed Reading - John Madejski Blackburn - Jack Walker Portsmouth - Mandaric I think Bolton and Charlton are about the only ones who got there and stayed there without huge funds, and you could argue both of them did so due to phenomenal management. And Charlton are now down... Bolton I suspect could follow in the next couple of seasons without Big Sam.
We might survive 1 season should we go up. If the players who get us up , step up.
We have next to no chance of establishing ourselves in the Premier League unless we have a major benefactor with a bottomless pit of cash.
The ground just isnt big and we are unlikely to ever have the money to make it so.
Its still worth the effort as hopefully this time we'd have the savvy not to leave ourselves open to disaster this time.

I'd like to think we have learnt our lesson from last time Don't overspend and have wages in line with relegation if it occured. I've got every faith in this board that would happen.
I once said something similar on here... In retrospect I do actually want us to get back to the prem one day. However, it would have to be done right.
I can see whyyou may say it, its great going into the top level of the game but unless you're careful it could finish any smaller club like us. Average Prem wages are something like £35k a week. Maybe more. You can't pay those wages until you are established, and to get established you'd need decent players, who want those wages.
The problem is that football chairmen lose all common sense when they get promoted and spend big to stay there, call it arrogance or whatever you want, once they get there, its the only place to be. I'd rather us relegated first season, take the parachute payments and build using that money, than spend big to stay up and risk our whole future.
I am certainly happy to be in the Championship and agree that its our level at the moment.
</sub>
