Is this going to happen every time we lose? Ok, here goes.... We were excellent first half, Allen and Hery were a joy to watch but Bradford's directness started to win out after the break. Hill got the subs wrong after they scored and the game was gone. That do?
That was pretty much how our second season started when Hill was here we played pretty football but couldn't break teams down.
It was okay, though. It was all the fault of parachute payments, the wind, the fanbase being obsessed with 1997, and the team being half-rice/half-chips. So at least he fronted up and never, ever made excuses.
Don't worry. I know exactly what Hill's like as he's managed us at this level before. When he's made mistakes, he's changed the approach in future and it invariably works. Just like he did when we battered Crewe and were unlucky to not beat Bristol City. Hopefully today will make him realise that going direct using subs that aren't good enough doesn't work. We were doing fine playing football.
Not be long matey before Keith's cup final on October 4th. I look forward to hearing him talking us up for the first time in his life. Not a great result for you this aft, but the lad Hanson is a menace for Bradford. They'll be there or thereabouts this season I feel. But, as I said before the season kicked off I see it being a very tight division and the playoffs is possible for any club who can put a good winning run together. By the way, as I've been away, I must have missed your signing of Fenelon. Is it the lad from Brighton? Bet you were getting excited about a COGba return at one point, weren't you? Speaking of which, he wasn't in the matchday 18 today. Is he crocked?
Sorry Whitey, missed that post. Fenelon's looked quite sharp in his brief appearances so far but he's still to dislodge the likes of the prolific Matt Done who scores yet again and sets up a couple too. Ovation from the whole ground apparently. So yeah, rather than yet another 'where's 442' thread, it's best to stick to this one. Also notice how well we've done defensively since Jack O'Connell returned. It's difficult being right so often. Almost a chore.
I'll be bringing this thread up more than yourself over the next season. Must admit, good result against a team that's lost 4 on the trot now since what seems like a bit of a false start.
Keith always seemed to say to us that overachieving was a dirty job, but someone had to do it. And overachieving for him was keeping us in a league we believe we have a right to reside in. The league above. No such right exists of course. And Keith is overachieving at the moment Does he tell the whole of Rochdale this?
Well...Rochdale have always been fourth tier, and the only bloke to get them higher, is ??? Of course he's over achieving and doing a fecking great job at it.
Yep. He has numerous times over the years. We know about the irritating aspects of his management, but he's clearly very good at what he does (yes, maybe not in your eyes). Example #74 : Calvin Andrew had scored two goals in over two years before we signed him. He's now got two in less than half an hour's football.
