one win and half of you on here think the reds are promotion contenders. we are still in the bottom three under serious threat of relegation. and with our best player over the past few years now plying his trade at bramall lane. one win does not make the season. i still think davey is poor at man management and likes only YES men.

Its amusing to read some posts on here.... it amazes me how little people know about football.

So do I - Can someone ask him about Mostto at tomorrow night's meeting Can someone ask him about Mostto at tomorrow night's meeting
Most of what he's put there is right, not sure what you're referring to. Unless that wasn't aimed at Kingster.
One Swallow doesn't make a summer! I still think he's not the man for the job. We have the players but he doesn't know what to do with them. All his apparent "good decisions" have been forced on him. Eg. The best back four we have only gets to play together because "the Carthorse" gets sent off. We get a decent midfield because Howard effectively drops himself. Oh, and I lost my job on Friday so I didn't get to rub it in with the Pikeys at work. Double whammy or what? (shithappens)
I'm not commenting on his bits about Davey... Just that if people think half an hour's good football has magically transformed our season and we're suddenly going to surge up the table then I think they're thinking wishfully. I'm sure it will improve morale and hopefully performances to an extent, but as someone else just posted, one swallow doesn't make a summer. I hope we win every game for the rest of the season and was as delighted as Simon and everyone else when we hammered the Pikeys, but I'll see how we do at Palace and the Deedars before getting too excited.
RE: I'm not commenting on his bits about Davey...
Fair enough... but don't you think if he's slated for us losing, he should be praised when we win....
You can't have it both ways

It's not all his fault when we lose, or all down to him when we win... I'm not daft enough to think that. Quite frankly, I'm not interested in Simon Davey, or any Barnsley managers, I'm interested in Barnsley FC winning as many football matches as possible and will clamour for whatever is necessary to make that happen, whether it's changing the manager, keeping the same manager, getting better players in, dropping someone who's not good enough etc. Folk know that after the way he treated me I'm not overly endeared to him, but if he makes Barnsley win games then good luck to him.
RE: It's not all his fault when we lose, or all down to him when we win...
Totally agree. But IMHO changing the Manager every other year hasn't worked for the past 20 years (with the exeption of Sir Danny).
But I do think Saturday apart, we've been unlucky in a couple of games, If Macken had scored the penalty and Hume the sitter he missed at Saints we'd be mid table..ish!!!
I saw enough in the 1st 45 against Norwich and the last 35 against Donny to think that we'll be ok...
