Wheres the advantage in being a season ticket holder? Yes you get first refusal but have travel to the club ticket office with your "special match voucher" as they wont sell tickets over the phone.

If your not a season ticket holder and wait until tickets go on general sale then you can phone for them and get them posted out to you.

Ok were not travelling away in large numbers so its not a gamble to wait until they go on general sale but it just seems an ar$e over t!t way of dealing with people.

Getting to go to every home match?

and having it work out considerably cheaper than if you bought each one individually.

I don't even go to most away matches but I can still see the advantage of my season ticket.

    Yes yes yes

    I know that clever arses!

But it doesnt make any sense with regard to the telephone bookings. How the hell is my mate supposed to get to the club to present his match vouchers when he lives in Worthing???

As far as I was aware

if you rang the box office quoting your patron code they did allow you to buy the tickets if you don't live locally.

Won't sell tickets over the phone...

...now that is an interesting one. In fact they do sell away tickets over the phone and will send them out if you send them your special match voucher. However, this service depends entirely upon: a) what day of the week it is; b) what time of day it is; c) who you are talking to; d) whether whoever you are talking to has had a cup of tea in the last five minutes; e) whether the tea had the correct amount of sugar in it; f) if they like the sound of your voice. ( P.S. those six reasons have actually been made up by me but are the only explanation I can give for the inexplicable variety of responses I have personally had)

    No I havent actually

My Dad lives in Wombwell and has a ST as well as me so he just goes in.

I have never tried to get a ticket over the phone at the box office so I dont know if there are problems or not.

    and your assuming that.....

I live in Barnsley and have the time to just nip down to the club. Wrong on both assumptions.

Well if you counted that phrase as abuse then I've been abused more than once by the box office staff!!
I know that they've sometimes got a difficult job and must get alot of irate punters (by the way - I've never ever given them any hassle even tho my daughter couldn't believe the way we were treated by one of the folk - when we were trying (in vain and in person) to get tickets for the Chesterfield game last season.....and don't get me started on the Leeds Home game when I could not get tickets for my son and daughter (both students and previously season ticket holders for years)
