Go back to Polar Ford, wait till somebody's negotiating to buy a motor off them, an then kick off big style in loudest possible voice regarding cr@p customer service.
Then find a different Ford dealer.

A local locksmith can do car locks/replacement keys these days. A lot cheaper than dealers as well.

Try the locksmith in Summer Lane, corner of Hope Street

I'd be interested to know miself, cos I've just bought a focus with only one key ! I thought you could only get them off the main dealer but hope that I'm wrong.

Does the key have a red tag on it?
If It does it is most likely a master key which can program other keys. Hence the Ford Dealarship wanting so much money.

Thanks for your help - no it doesn't have a red tag but they...

are saying it will need reprogramming so will charge me an hours labour at £70 and £20 for the key. Do you honestly think they will slave over my key for an hour to reprogram it? LOL Thanks again, Chris
