I can (sort of) accept the club reviewing the content before it gets circulated but this is now embarrassing and laughable. Either something has changed since the meeting or there was never an intention for the masses to see the notes (aimed at the club not those who donate their valuable time) I've tried to maintain a positive outlook and consider myself a half full kind of person but I think I've had enough. I think I'll look for something else to do next season - Meadowhall, DIY, running a rusty cheese grater over my bell 3nd- all seem more appealing right now. Ben, PC, Maurice - if it's affecting me like this, and I'm no one special, I can guarantee there's a whole lot more who will be feeling the same!!!!
i think it was said earlier by Gally. Its volunteers that are typing it up and so far they only had time for Pt 1. its not something from the club but from people giving up their time to do. I'm sure they will be happy with an offer of help though?
I may be mistaken but I thought Gally's last post stated that the transcript had been sent to the club and that they were reviewing it. Apologies if I am mistaken.
Doubt there will be anything new in Pt2 that we didn't already know from Pt1 and Facebook, we weren't promised top 6 but Ben did and LJ has control of team selection and transfer targets but no ones told him because he thinks Ben is heading recruitment and LJ puts cones out . LJ thinks his time is up as the club have advertised his job under a new title , not Head Coach or Manager but Car Park Supervisor which also involves putting cones out
I think it was sent to the club on Friday but I'm not sure (might have also been Thursday night). To listen to a two hour plus interview, with constant pausing, rewinding, and then typing up is a near on five hour job. Unfortunately between the two people that were trying to listen to it all last week was a shocking week to try and find the time to do that as well as the day job. I'd already lost a full day of work the week before by doing Redfearn's Bar for the York game and then the actual meeting with Patrick and Ben. I couldn't get away with that this week. Well I could have done, but then I'd have had to sell my Frank Turner tickets or just not have gone. Considering the lack of entertainment football gives me these days that just wasn't an option.
I thought the job involved showing the coaches where to park. Surely as Head Coach all the other coaches would be looking to you for direction?
** day job...... Ahem ** frank turner! How was he mate? Missed him in Southampton, went to that shiiine festival instead
What im struggling with is that if the club is dictating what can be included in the statement then why didnt they just release their own statement?
I honestly haven't got the time or energy to keep debating this, but they're not dictating the statement. We just asked if they minded if we recorded the whole thing, but in return we would send them what we intend to publish just in case anything was not meant for the public domain. That isn't sinister on their part in my opinion, but as with all one on one conversations some things get said that are opinion rather than a statement from the club. Why didn't they release their own statement? Mainly because they didn't know exactly which questions needed answering. Also, by meeting with us it allowed us to ask questions in response to answers. That doesn't happen if we just e-mail a document through with ten questions to answer does it? It's quite frustrating that something done with the right intentions has caused so many reactions/challenges (not aimed at you). You try and reply to give a bit of insight and background, and a bit of the 'why', but all it does is create more reactions/challenges. I'm sure I can quote this, but Patrick said Dave Allan at Cheaterfield had told him 'Never respond. Never explain', which Patrick thought was wrong, but I totally understand that statement now.
* Those snippets of work on Social Media are only a few minutes of the hours and hours I spend actually doing proper work! ** Frank was awesome mate. Saw him at Birmingham and Sheffield. Class act live and plays a solid two hours.
I'm sure it will be full of answers and truths when its published, after all the competence of the club has never been in question has it ?
Why are you asking me? To a lot of fans the competence of the club isn't in question. I'm a bit 50/50, and others are completely convinced the club are currently having a shocker in how they're running things. Depending on where you sit on the above will, in the main, determine what you take from any club update.
Im sure their paths have crossed numerous times over the last decade or more. Doesn't mean he's discussing things with him.
Well he must have, to have received that response. I'm assuming he's told Dave about the fans, and Allen replied with that. Which you quoted.
