    The best goalscorer of all time , was a German/Austrian bloke ( who's name escapes me ) , pre Second World War . Scored well over a thousand goals , even more than Pele .
    Best ever in this country was Arthur Rowley with 434 ( I think ! ) .
    Best ever for Barnsley was Ernest Hine .

    everyone counted::::

    parkside road playing fields - with me mates 1969 to 1979 -825 goals (I was mostly a goal hanger)

    primary and secondary school play grounds 1966 to 1978 - 277 goals

    stocksbridge sports centre - morning shift against afternoon shift 1979 to 2004 - 215 goals

    Various beaches around the world - 1964 to 2005 - 332 goals

    sunday league - all over barnsley and sheffield 1980 to 1996 - 3 goals (I was a centre half, thats my excuse anyway)
