and i mean ever, not just this season!

theres so many to chose from, but the one i was most upset about leaving must be Ashley Ward.

there were many others though like Redders and Arjan etc . . . but Ward leaving sticks out for me.

Most annoying thing is that he wanted to stay and was happy at the club nt

I was gutted about Hignett - knowing on the day we lost at Wembley that it meant we lost higgie was like a double kick in the balls. Ward was also gutting, but it was softened temporarily by the excitement of watching the new stand being built and the fact that we still had Higgie. I was angry at the club for not being able to sort out the situations with Redfearn or De Zeeuw - no matter what they wanted in wages, it could not possibly compare to the money we wasted trying to replace them (and we never did succeed replacing them).

Going back a little further, when we sold David Currie, I was gutted. Same with Steve Agnew.

When we sold Beresford to Portsmouth

We were challenging with them for promotion and sold him on deadline day.

Tough one ... but I'd have to say Arjan or Fjortoft

When Redfearn left I thought it was good money for a player his age (although still sad to see him go)

When Ward left the money was just too good to turn down.

To see Arjan leave for nowt and Fjortoft just because Hendry didn't like him were both bitter pils to swallow.

    Tough one ........

    ...... and a good question.

Ward and Higgy - especially Higgy cos his departure to me was a milestone; it really was the end of the good times.

Further back, remember being gutted when Currie left for the first time. Was equally gutted when Big Trev left for the first time too.

Never been more gutted though than when Norman Hunter went !
