Which satnav system is the best to buy?

    Ive got the Tom Tom 510 and its great, never had a problem with it.</p>

    Its also not very big and easy to take out of the car at night. </p>

    If you want A2B directions then go for TomTom, If you want to plan your route then Garmin.</p>

    I planned my route around europe, i did 8 countries and i even planned the route down to the carpark i parked in while sightseeing! </p>

    i got the go 300 superb piece of kit especially with all spedd cameras on it!

    I think these satnac thingy type things are popular cos hardly anyone is capable of reading a map these days!!

    I dunno,

    I can read a map, but its easier and simpler just to press a button an away you go. Handy when touring mate.

    Fair play... Maybe it's just me and my ways?... By the way; i was told about a mate's wife who has satnav but it doesn't show the dead ends in london (places with a closed gate across the street etc) and the lady in question just keep arguing with it :pff

    If you can afford it and want European door to door...

    Mitac Mio C710 cheaper than TomTomGo 710 with built in TCM antenna (although TCM in UK is a subscription service its free in most of Europe)

    I have the 2610 with 2gb memory card, never let me down yet, even in europe worth every penny in my book.
