We have a team building in progress. We are not yet the finished article and this shows in some of the games, particularly today. If we got in the playoffs and got promotion, do you think this team could survive the Championship . I do not think so and we would be back to the moaning and groaning . I think same could be said of the Blunts too. So the excitement is good but I would think another year building a really good team and then go for it. There will be some players going out and some coming in, could be an interesting close season

It's a great sentiment but there's no guarantee we'll be better next season, particularly if reduced gate receipts hit home after a dodgy start and we sell some players in January. It's not that long ago that Rankin saved us from dropping again.

I'd take the increased TV money and media coverage of scraping back into the Championship this season than I would gambling on a better campaign next time around. And I already know I'll be in a minority on this one.

You'll never build a team on loan players.

It seems to be the club's policy at the minute but just when you think you've got it right, you've got them in the public window for them to be taken away on transfer day.

There's gitvgo be a few out in the summer for me so that Jonhson can do some dealing.
