hope Mr Davey doesnt get the job on those two performances.    We have struggled to beat two very poor teams - at times in the second half against Southend, we made them look like a good team.    I dont think the four loan signings are any better than what we already had.        Let's see how we perform in the next two matches.      Marc Richards - striker? - dont think so - doesnt look as if he will score another goal this season.   </p>

"Dont think the four loan signings are any better than we have" - Sorry but those signings have allowed us to try new things, and added squad in depth.

End of day Simon Davey as taken us back to basics. Yes football may have been pretty under AR BUT the results were ****. I think you could tell what the result meant last night when Colgan ran 50 yds to celebrate the goal. 2 games played and we have prob seen 3 different set ups (2 more than the whole season under AR!!!)

    Bloody pessimism

    Shut up for god's sake.

Did you count the number of times that we played a long ball up the field and Richards was first to it and didn't lose possession? He's a valuable player in the current team.

    On the contrary...

Mr Davey addressed the situation of us leaking goals at an average of 2 per game... That was the problem that Andy Ritchie could not do.

He has done that immediatley !!! We also won both games !!!

Not really sure what more he could have realistically done in the 6 days he's been in charge... YES 6 DAYS,

Also, Mr Davey will prob have only had 4 training sessions with the team....... Yes, 4.

Objective No 1 - Prob to get 3 points Vs Ipswich, and not concede with intentions to cap off a very poor week = PASSED

Objective No 2 - Pick up 3 points and build on Saturday. (Better passing 1st half) = PASSED

Faultless from the manager so far.

    RE: On the contrary...

From the sounds of his interviews, he is taking us completely back to basics. Spent the first couple of days organising the defence. We didn't pass the ball well on saturday, so spent a couple of sessions working on that. I expect him to work on last nights problems in the coming days. Give him time. Even if we bring another manager in, I would love him to stay as first team coach, give him some more experience so he can step up after the next manager leaves.

One of the main things he worked on is the defence, but also getting Colgan to start from the back hence always looking to throw out to Hecky / Austin.

We stopped Ipswich from playing football.... The reason for that, Mr Davey made the squad study videos of them and made the players aware of what they had to cut out, etc.
